Saw this magpie when I drew back the bedroom curtains this morning.  He was actually pecking at a tennis ball.  By the time I grabbed my camera he'd moved away from it but stayed still long enough for me to get some shots.  Have got a magpie nest in one of the trees in the garden so have been seeing them a lot.  Not good news for the baby birds in my neighbour's garden though as there have been casualties.
