Horseradish Spider
Not much time for photography today. I went to the dentist this morning. A very thorough and caring consultation. Wish I could get similar at my GP.
I captured this spider with its prey on the horseradish flowers. It's a tiny little thing and I haven't been able to positively identify it. Could be a comb-footed or candy-striped spider. Mine hasn't got stripes but evidently the patterns of these are variable.
I've just read that the early Greeks used horseradish for lower back pain. An early form of Deep Heat. :)
PS I have since discovered that this is probably a Nigma puella mesh weaving spider.
