Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway
WEDNESDAY
I started the day with a 9 km run up to the top of Blease Fell. I had planned to run along the ridge to Blencathra but decided against it due to the dense cloud.
Harriet and George returned from Nottingham and joined us for a late breakfast before we headed off for a trip on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway to Dalegarth for a 4km walk and a stop off at the station cafe. We caught the last train back to Ravenglass where we had a look around the Roman Baths site.
On the way back to Keswick we came across a serious road traffic collision involving three bikers and three cars. Harriet was immediately out of the car and assisted at the scene for over two hours along with a number of other doctors, paramedics, ambulance personnel and the air ambulance crew.
An eventful day.
