Urban Camping!

I’m on the move again! This is an iconic scene and many of you will recognise it as Bristol. I was here two years ago and discovered that not only do I love the city, but I really love the central location of this site. This is the view as you walk out the gate of the campsite. You can’t get more central or urban than that! Sadly, after years of the camping club leasing this land from the council, the lease has been terminated and the campsite will close in September. The land has been sold to a developer and flats will be built. This is an extremely popular site so there are many unhappy campers! The site was already supposed to have shut down but it was given a 4-month extension. I was very happy to hear that and booked almost immediately. I’m here for 4 nights. I may come here more than once this summer before it closes for good.

I didn’t get here until this evening as I had plans earlier today. I made a quick dinner and went out for a walk along the river and past the marina. It was great to see people out socialising again and restaurants back in business, although there wasn’t a lot of social distancing! See Extra photo for more scenes from my evening walk.
