Sex in the Trees

I saw the Buzzards circling over the field out of the corner of my eye. With little time today to go looking for a blip I decided to try to get one, even though it was going to be a long shot despite the long lens. As soon as I lifted the camera one sped towards their favourite tree. As I aimed at it, the other landed on top, and did what Buzzards in love do.

This may not be the best shot of the day, is cropped to the enth degree and over edited it to get the scene clear. Here are two buzzards having sex. I couldn't have dreamt of obtaining an image of the deed. It's almost a once in a lifetime shot, of which I have another four of the action. Amazingly I didn't see the male until he was on top. Only for the serendipity, this has to be my blip for today!

After the action they sat on the branch together, as if enjoying the view, for a good half hour. :) They are a delightful pair.

Am I a peeping Tom?
