Hiiiii!!!

This rescue parrot lives at Abernethy & Spencer, my favorite area nursery. Of all the birds, he is the one that greets you unfailingly with a chipper "Hi!" and a wave. He hopped down onto my shoulder once as I waited in line at the register.

Mom and Kristie arrived today, which is terrific. They landed five minutes before a thunderstorm hit, and their luggage sat outside long enough to get soaked. But it did arrive, and we did find it later on a return trip to the airport. We haven't had houseguests in a couple years...it's all entailed a bit of effort to whip the place into shape!

Embarking on graduation weekend now...deep breath (and I'll catch up with journals next week!).
