What. A. Day.
For some reason I couldn't upload my pic last night (my internet, not the site), so I'm blipping late!
A crazy day with amazing stuff and really hard stuff.
Danny went to the prison first thing and saw Ed being taken away by the police, they allowed him and Ed a moment which was kind. The blip is Ed's plane leaving. We later found out he'd been escorted onto the plane by 4 police...in his words, 'it was quite a spectacle'. So wonderful to pray for him as he flew off, shout and wave...and just take in this first moment of freedom. And wonderful to receive a photo of him and his Dad and bro in arrivals in London!! Throughout the day we'd also been getting updates of a friend who has stomach cancer...each update was getting worse, culminating in her being airlifted to a different hospital for a 3rd emergency operation. If you're a pray-er, please pray for S. And in amongst all of that, we had our friend Debbie's baptism on the beach (see extra) which was very moving!
A long tiring day, but also a good one.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Having the morning with a local guy who runs a charity here - during lockdown he fed 4,000 families...and then got a huge fine because he didn't have the right paperwork!!! A lovely lovely guy who reminded me a lot of Bilbo Baggins!
2) This chapter being behind Ed...and the beautiful moment he and Danny had first thing.
3) Debbie being on her journey with Jesus.
