Special Light, Little Langdale
Didn't expect this. When I headed out at about 6 am this morning light rain was falling and the clouds were slate grey. It stayed like that while I was out and It was only by chance that I stopped at Red Bank and noticed the lightening clouds in Little Langdale. Why it should have been so warm a light, when I was facing south west rather than was towards the rising sun, I know not. Perhaps a thinness in the cloud cover allowed the sun's rays to warm the cloud cover over the valley. I managed to take about 6 shots before the light went almost as quickly as it had arrived.
Later in the morning we met up with John and Debs Gravett for a coffee, before we wend our way home after a lovely few days in the Lakes.
