Heading to Harrogate

Slept ok, awake very earlier, eager anticipation of my first visit to RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate. Hub & I had planned to visit a couple of times, but for one reason or another it just never happened.

A long all around the houses drive over, courtesy of stupid Sally Sat Nav, who took me all through the centre of Leeds, talk about long winded route, almost 2 hours, made it with 5 minutes to spare.

It was lovely to see some blip friends, having not met up for far too long!! We had a lot of catching up to do, two of us had lost our other halves since we last met, but despite our sadnesses, we had a lovely time, it was not massively busy, so many beautiful flowers to see and smell :-) We made the most of our Bettys Tea room lunch too, albeit sat at wooden picnic tables, still very tasty!

As our first get together ended, I met with my friend who lives over on the outskirts of Harrogate. Firstly she gave me a gift bag, she had bought me a blue mecanopsis poppy.... which always reminds her of hub; we were together a few years ago visiting the Himalyan Gardens in Rippn, she bought herself one :-) She took me to Valley Gardens in Harrogate... which is my main blip, whereas the two extras are from Harlow Carr. We had a lovely walk around the town clocked up,over 12k,steps today, then went back to her house for dinner, and a couplemof hours chatting, before I headed back home, via a much better route, which only took an hour and a half!

Its way past midnight again.....I am tired, so hopefully I will sleep. Nite all....
