2021 Wednesday — FaceTime with RJ
Even our two pups, Chloe & Mitzi, know the distinct sound of the ring/signal on Mr. Fun’s phone when RJ, our youngest great-grandson, has initiated a FaceTime with us. His mom dials the number for him, but he pushes the red button when we all say “goodbye.”
And that signal sound alerted us late this afternoon that little RJ was about to spend time with us. At that moment, the pups bark and these two great-grandparents whistle and giggle and run to get next to each other on the sofa to have time with our little RJ. This was definitely the highlight of our day.
Earlier in this day, we drove almost to March Air Force Reserve Base on the far side of Riverside to get to a Kaiser Medical facility so Mr. Fun could get a bone density scan as part of his every 3-month prostate cancer check-up. He had been given a date of Friday, June 18th, for this scan which is 1-day after his meeting with his cancer doctor. So, like a good (overpowering) wife, I got on the phone and explained that June 18th was not acceptable. Mr. Fun is not feeling well enough, with a knee that is swollen and painful, to hassle the appointment team. So Mama Bear intervened.
And that was our Wednesday!
From Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
