Day 446 Birthday gifts II

I did receive this beautiful orchid from my lovely UK sister in law on the day but have saved blipping it until once again it's Flower Friday.  It is standing on the mantlepiece in the dining room and reflected in the mirror you can see the only bits of original stained glass window that were in the house when we bought it.
In extras is my alternative flower Violet when she had arrived home from school with grandpa.  She was feeling very excited and pleased because for the first time she was chosen as Dojo Champion of the week!  For those not in the know, Dojo points are awarded in many junior schools for a variety of things such as good work trying hard, being very kind, helping to clear up etc.  In other words any positive action.  She is allowed to keep the class mascot, the badger, until it is time for another winner next week.
