Suffragette

This memorial of Emily Davison was unveiled in Epsom High Street earlier this week.
Emily Davison was a Suffragette who campaigned for the Vote for Women back in the early 1900s. Sadly she was injured by the King's horse when she ran onto the racecourse on Derby Day on 1913. She died of her injuries in hospital a few days later.
