D-Day Revival

Today my cousin J's family and I went to the Southwick D-Day Revival event. Southwick House and part of the estate was requisitioned by the government during WWII, when the house was Dwight Eisenhower's HQ for Operation Overload or D-Day.
The village has now held seven Revival events where the village turns into the 1940s. There are vintage cars and buses,  military vehicles, a replica Spitfire, wartime music and dancing and everyone dresses up. Costumes included, servicemen and women, a policeman, Winston Churchill,  a spiv, an evacuee, chimney sweep, etc etc. J and I wore 40s type dresses. A great day.
