The Vyne

I don’t think I mentioned (apologies if I’m repeating myself) that just before mum and dad came up unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago they had booked for a few days away to stay in Frensham Ponds not too far from where the children live. It was going to be a surprise :-/ but thankfully they told us otherwise it would have been quite possible everyone had made plans and not been able to see them.

They came up on Thursday.  Yesterday afternoon Rebecca, Nat and baby Oscar met them at their hotel for afternoon tea.  Today I booked us to visit a NT property near Basingstoke. The journey took a little longer for me but I arrived in time for our ticket slot. The upstairs of the house was closed due to COVID restrictions. It was ok I’m not sure if it would be one I would return too.

I then suggested we went to Alresford. A lovely market town with little shops. Then back to their hotel where Sim, Nat, Bex and Lucy joined us (Mr C and Josh went off to watch Quins play). We enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine, overlooking the lake and had something to eat before saying our goodbyes and wishing them a safe journey home tomorrow.
