Surprised

Hot when we left the cottage this morning and even hotter when we got home. Unpacked and hubby watched the second half of a football match, I took my book into the garden. We have only been away a few days and yet so much has grown in the garden, iris at the pond, apples and cherries in abundance and the vine that we thought was dead has lots of growth.
Reading a Vera novel and the character is so different from the one on the TV.
