Mr Pheasant

Today's the day ......................... for a sad tale

Mr Pheasant dropped by this morning for a quick visit.

He seemed to be in his usual good form, making lots of noise to announce that he was around.  But then I noticed his tail - or should I say - his lack of tail?

Oh dear - I wonder how that could have happened?  It really was such a beautiful tail too .....................
