Cromarty
Out on a RIB trip this morning, to look for dolphins but none spotted. However it was great - a tour round the Cromarty Firth getting up close to a couple of the massive rigs in for maintenance or decomm. Then onto cliffs teeming with bird life - guillemots, fulmar, kittiwakes, shag, cormorant, razorbill. Out to the North Sea, great views but no leaping dolphins.
Lunch was excellent quiche pies & coffee from local bakery.
In the afternoon a 7 mile walk up the Sutors of Cromarty … views out to sea but still no dolphins. However, on the return … spotted a rare white unicorn! A great day.
