First Sweet Peas

These are my first sweet pea flowers this year. They are Sarah Raven's "Muse" which are supposed to have a good perfume, as well as being colourful. Actually, the pale cream one with  violet edge is by far the most highly scented of them all. I brought them for my Mum and she has displayed them beside some of her cross stitch pictures. 
The hottest day of the year: still 28 C outdoors  at 8pm. but rain falling soon after. I took my Mum to the dentist, which went well, but later got frustrated with her GP surgery, (not for the first time!).
