Actually, they went to school to give me moral support during my interview today. Didn't get the job but I they said that the only deciding factor was that the other candidate was already teaching A levels in a private school in London and if I’d been up against anyone else, I would have been the ‘preferred candidate’. At least it wasn't because I was too old this time!

A shame, as I know I really did do very well but I honestly don't think I would have accepted it anyway as the hours were not great. Part time but split over five days, so it would mean that for a couple of days a week I would have had to drive almost thirty miles each way just for one lesson - not really ideal as I'd hoped I'd have a clear day off each week.

So, not upset at all, it's all fine... and if you have jelly beans, everything's good!  :-D

Breaking news: Got an email today - a second water pistol was confiscated in the playground at lunchtime. Serious stuff!
