Grand Tour of England Day 12

We didn’t have far to drive today. It was a mere 36 miles east to friends Jan and John near Mawnam Smith, Helston. We called at Sainsbury’s en route for some supplies.

Our friends from Suffolk days moved here 7 years ago and we have not seen them since the move. They don’t travel as John is Type 1 diabetic and they find it all too stressful. They have a lovely garden where we spent the afternoon. There was room in the drive for the van. We ate a delicious lentil and leek dish with salad for supper and caught up on news and made a plan for tomorrow.
