It rained today- a lot. Met j at wickes and collected2 car loads of top soil- just light gentle summer rain then . Carried it through the house, emptied it all into next bed and then j went off for another load whilst I started planting. Repeated the process when he returned- by this it was raining steadily. We decided to carry on as we were wet anyway! Managed to finish planting that bed and some plants I had grown on for the borders just after the heavens opened, so we stopped. Just one more bed to do ( the biggest) but need to fill it with soil first. Got home and the builders were also soaking wet, . They finished laying the trench blocks so now up to ground level, and then stopped about 2ish. Definitely didn’t blame them!
