Moorhen Chicks

At Stonebow. The cygnets are really big now. Swanographer was hiding on the bank of the pool and still feeding them.

Loads of orchids in the Washlands but I didn't get a good photo today despite taking my longer macro lens. I think you have to take loads of photos to stack and frankly, I'm just not fit enough to get into the right position.

Lovely walk though along the Blackbrook Way and masses of wild flowers. The clover smelt heavenly.

Basil not really himself today and not willing to run around. The moorhen chicks look very similar to coot chicks but the feet are different.

We ended up at The Old Curiosity Bookshop for a welcome pot of tea and a slice of genuine gluten free carrot cake.
