Continuing on my pink theme...
An early morning mow was followed by a Baleshare stroll before Tricia had the excitments of her first haircut for 18 months.
To celebrate and seeing a Facebook post we ambled up to the north of North Uist and after a little while, and a fair bit of chatting, found this beauty - a Rose-coloured Starling. Rare but there is currently a mini-invasion of the species into the UK with around 200 birds having been reported so far.
Not a difficult bird to identify.
To celebrate still further, a pint in the pub on the way home - rather defeating Tricia's 'I'm never gonig to drink again' comment of this morning.
