Four Generations of Fathers
A few years ago I did four generations of mothers so now it is the dad's turn on this Father's Day. My dad in 1938, my grandfather in 1908, my great grandfather in 1870 and my great, great grandfather in 1875; those last two are tin types. I've colorized all of them recently. Of course, I never knew my "greats" but thanks to my dad and grandpa I can properly swing a hammer and plant a garden. Not all of your education came from books. I miss them on this day and every day.
The concert last night was wonderful and it felt so good, so "normal", to be there enjoying an evening with friends. This Independence Day will have a whole new meaning for those of us who are fully vaccinated.
