Creatures of the Rain

We only spent a very short time, between rains, at the DogPark this morning. I left my camera at home so I resorted to my phone to capture these interesting little critters. Not the left: two Xystocheir dissecta a species of flat-backed millipede. I followed the one on the left for a ways, trying to get a reasonable shot of it, when it stopped to check on a friend. The 'friend' was buried in the soil with only a bit of it's back visible. The snail is a beautiful little land snail. She was zipping right along the top of a trash can but didn't seem to mind posing for this photo. Maybe I should leave my camera at home more often! ;)
