Here's Lookin' At You

It's not often that I manage a 'beak on' shot of a Pileated. I had to giggle at this one! 
I don't know if these two male Pileated woodpeckers (check the *extra...) are father and son or two immatures boys. They often visit our BarkButter feeders together. There is at least one female who usually dines alone but she is not as regular a visitor as these two. The Pileateds are regular visitors at our feeders. Between them and the crows, I need to replenish the four feeders everyday. Large birds can eat a lot of BarkButter!
