Black wood of Rannoch

This was a walk we had previously done on my first visit here and this time we had hoped to extend it slightly. Mountain streams are gorgeous and this one, Allt na Bogair, is no exception. It is always a challenge to get onto a boulder in the middle!

We stopped for lunch at a small Lochan but left shortly afterwards as we started to become lunch for the midges.

Somehow, possible logging work has removed it, we missed the path which would extend the walk and ended up taking a diversion through the grounds of an abandoned school having to climb a fence to exit. Despite this it was a great walk, we were alone during the majority of it.
