Morag and Archie

Today was my brother in law John's funeral. I was awake at 4.30 and managed to doze until 5.30. I got up at 7 and went a walk down to my favourite place. The sun was shining and it was beautiful. I met Morag and her dog, I've often met them Sunday mornings, we had a lovely chat and decided we would be better running things!!!
There was an accident and a fire on the motorway as I drove to the funeral but thankfully I had set off extra early so it was no problem.
The funeral mass was lovely and the burial was  at least a 100 yards away in the church cemetery. It was pouring down and the lads carrying the coffin, her sons, son in law and nephews did a great job carrying it down the road. It never stopped raining and was cold, true funeral weather. It was lovely seeing extended family and friends I haven't seen for a few years, John would have loved it.
