Looking down .......

........ onto the coast of the Netherlands (incorrectly called Holland by us in the UK) ....

Probably clearer on large.

Possibly not the most inspiring or technically good photo but, I think, quite interesting (especially if you have never flown) and certainly not as good as the stunning views that my friend, IanJardine, is able to capture from his seat "up front"!!!!!

This was taken from seat 19F on my Germanwings flight (other airlines are available!) from Cologne, Germany back to London Stansted yesterday afternoon and, from the bottom of the photo to the top, you can see the cities/towns of Breskens, Vlissingen, Middleburg, Renesee, Stellendam, Hellevoetsluis and, in the far far distance right at the top, the Hook of Holland - all on the islands connected to the mainland. (take a look on Google maps if you are interested).

Thank you for all your comments on my big Lincolnshire sky yesterday - this is a different kind of sky for today!!!
