Let The Day Begin...
and at the cottage, the fun begins at sunrise! The weather had been cold for a day or two and we had a touch of rain early in the morning, but the sun was not deterred..and with a bit of a mist rising off the water, it welcomed the day.
We had some errands in town and with some of our COVID restrictions now lifted, we had lunch in the sun on the patio of the restaurant at Georgian Bay Airways - my first "eating out" experience in almost two years! What a treat. It is a great spot for lunch. The patio overlooks the harbour so the view is terrific. It has docks attached to it for boats and planes, and of course, for added interest, a huge moose mascot! Don't even ask. Every small town has such a thing, right?
All in all, it was a great day, especially for my daughter and SIL. They were out paddle boarding in our little back bay and came across the mother bear and her cub that seem to be hanging around here this year. The bears were lounging on the shore, in the shade and neither of them seemed particularly disturbed by this human presence...hmmm. Not sure that is a good thing.... I, of course, once again missed the bear sighting, as I was napping. One of these days....
The day ended on a note as gentle and picturesque as it had begun, bathed in pinks and blues. ( extra)
