Felbrigg
Today we went to the National Trust Felbrigg estate. We’d intended to have a walk around the estate and through the woodland but after having coffee and a bacon butty and a look in the shop, we decided we’d have a quick look in the walled garden first. What an amazing garden; some beautiful planting and lots to see. We ended up spending far longer in there than we intended so didn’t really have time to do the woodland walk as well. We did have a wander over to the chapel for a look round but I think we took a wrong path back to the car park as we ended up having to climb over a fence which clearly wasn’t intended to be climbed!
There are quite a few hens and white doves around the garden; I was rather impressed by this hen house, complete with turrets, moat and drawbridge. Woe betide the fox that ties to get in there!
