4 Years Have Passed

Some of my long term followers might remember this image.

Well 4 years, 1 very big hole, 200 000 tonnes of concrete and about £1000000000 later Edinburgh’s newest shopping centre opens.

It seems quite extensive with shops on 3 floors of a curving, covered street. Most of the units, if not opened today will be opening in the near future and it seems the most popular retail unit sells wee toys that are extremely painful when you stand on them in your bare feet.

I quite like the entrance onto Leith St. which seems to double up a performance area with banked seating in place. I’ve included a few extras to show a bit more. We will see how it lasts
