Water Play

This is Wednesday's blip, backblipped on Thursday.

The morning was sunny and warm and almost windless so we walked down to the lake to give Piper a chance to swim.  Mostly she just stayed in the shallow water chasing sticks and rocks that PD threw into the water.  In my first extra they are taking a break and enjoying the view.

In the afternoon our friends arrived and we had a nice time catching up.  I can't remember if I mentioned that they asked if they could come for dinner if they brought filet mignon.  We said they could come and didn't have to bring anything.  Well, they did bring filet mignon from Kansas City Steaks and it was by far the most tender, flavorful steak I've ever had.  In my second extra, Cheryl was supervising Dennis and PD to make sure they didn't overcook the steaks.  I shot this through the big window in the living area of the trailer.  Beyond them is our view of the lake from inside.  Afterwards, we had a nice campfire and they stayed until we were all falling asleep in our chairs.  It was a really nice evening. :-))

I am grateful for the happy reunion with our camping buddies!  The funny thing is that they only live about 40 minutes from us but we only see each other here.  We vowed to get together when we're back home.
