Water off a coot's back

I was determined to get out for a walk today so I took myself off to a country park someone had told me about. It was further away than I thought and wasn't as large as I had hoped, with hardly any bird visitors. So I packed up quite quickly and drove off to another park that I have aready visited several times. I knew I didn't have very long as rain had been forecast for midday but I did manage to get a bit of a walk and some nice photos.
I had trouble chosing which one to blip, still not sure I made the right choice but if you're interested this is the near miss :-)
