Finding nectar

Today has been the restful time I needed. A slow start, especially compared to the working week. Did some of the weekend tasks, and eventually solved the crossword. 

This afternoon, a little after the website I consulted said was low tide, I went down to Southend of Snells Beach to find that the water appeared still to be running out rather than in. Saw the usual birds that I see and got a few good photos, and rather more almost but not quite. 

Then went to the shore and up the streets to the Dairy to buy some milk. On the way I heard Tui in many directions, without seeing any until one tree with two easily seen. One then left to seek sustenance, and posed beautifully for me.
