The Frozen Maid of Perth

The poor lass looked a bit chilly sitting out here in all weathers and without any shoes on either! Sir Walter Scott has a lot to answer for:-)

She is, of course, The Fair Maid of Perth and her house is not far from this spot, although Sir Walter used a lot of poetic licence in ascribing it to her. Perth has such a wealth of history round every corner and it's a fascinating place to explore.
