Robin at High Table

The robin is supposed to be a ground feeder, but it looks like this one doesn't know that, in spite of there being lots of seeds on the ground too! He came back regularly to this perch for more seeds, perhaps because there was a gi-normous pheasant eating everything in sight below him. He wasn't afraid of the larger bird, as he'd been sitting beside him earlier, but he possibly decided the food was easier to come by if he popped up here:-)

Not a good day to be out, as it started with icy snow which turned to drizzling rain later, so stayed in with an excellent book instead. Hope your weekend is equally relaxing!
