Look who we met today!

It was a busy morning as we prepared for the arrival of the hairdresser and then Annette to do the cleaning. Joanne arrived early, so I had wash Mum's hair as quickly as I could.

After the haircut there were a lot of locks on the floor and I'm sure the shorter hair feels much better.

This afternoon, I drove to Haltwhistle to see Maureen and Brian. Maureen was keen to have a walk rather than do exercises. We went up the path by Haltwhistle Burn. The foliage is lush and green. It's a delight to be there.

Not far up, another walker waved at us. It was Mary. She comes to the Haltwhistle Walking Festival. This weekend she was here for a walk with her Norwegian walking group, but it had been cancelled "for bad weather". Well, it was cold, but there was no rain so we were not sure what had happened.

Maureen walked a lot better today. She did not start to drag her left foot until we were nearly home and we walked more than a mile. Brilliant.
