Rain Imminent

A big downpour was forecast, but will we get it? Clouds building, wind rising, air feeling heavy, oppressive. Thunder rumbling. I tried to capture a sense of the approaching front. Dark, moody, a break in the cloud lets through some light.

I used a 6 stop to smooth the water and reflect some light, but left the dark shadows for contrast. Consequently the reeds moved a little, but it's all a bit soft anyway. Actually I took the shot in landscape orientation and cropped it this way to add to the drama.
