Curly Whirly

Focusing in on curly whirly here you have got to be impressed with his tongue! What an orange! Amazing grey eyes too!

They do feed on rotting fruit - so a lot of oranges then! However they also feed on nectar, dead animals and bat dung - a bit more dodgy. I also like the colour of his large wings with the underside seen here which is lovely shade of brown and olive green.

It begins life as a horned prickly black caterpillar with red markings, turns into a lime green chrysalis and evolves into a beautiful coloured butterfly
