Daisies in Stromness

Without doubt this has been the laziest day of the holiday. My I -watch keeps reminding me to be more active, but I’m studiously ignoring its calls to action.
My bed was more attractive this morning than the saddle and I had a long lie until 7 am. The morning passed in an au revoir to my old friend in Kirkwall and a natter back in Stromness with EllyJay who kindly popped by to return the scarf I left at her house yesterday.

When a overall sky of blue appeared I dashed to the garden with my sunglasses and the paper. It didn’t last, the blue, and when clouds swept in, I retired to the house and the windows looking out over Hamnavoe.

There was a bit of activity at the port later when the lifeboat went out and came back to a reception of police. It appeared that the body of a missing diver had been found and brought back to Stromness. What a horrible time for his family.

A glass of wine and supper and I’m settling down to watch Andy Murray playing on centre court. Fingers crossed!

My extra is a hello from EllyJay and a bit of a hello from me
