JOY...

...at Monday morning being at the rocky beach and not at school! 
We spent a couple of hours here pottering and playing in the water...Danny joined us after he'd finished teaching. 
A full day for Danny with a class, homeless stuff, calls and then prison...but for me and the kids we ambled through. Asha created a pirate game for us, she turned the flat into a place full of peril, including hanging dragons, a lake (blanket) full of dangerous creatures (cuddly toys), waterfalls (shower),  unique weapons that did different things and provided different types of protection...she was brilliant! And Nate fully entered into it all and loved it. We sat and had ice cream on our desert (dessert?! Ha!) island afterwards which was actually a big cushion on the blue blanket. They loved it.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Simple pleasures - jumping in water, imaginative play.
2) Asha being more patient with Nate today (he knows how to push her buttons).
3) Aircon - it's getting very hot very quickly. Such a luxury to be able to bring the temp down pre bedtime!
