Swell

We are in the midst of a storm and a state of emergency has just been called for the area of Breaker Bay as there are some houses there that are in a bad spot for the incoming predicted 6 metre swells.
This pic was shot this morning in Lyall Bay where it was still OK to get out of the car as the rain was not continuous but it was only 5 C and a tad hair raising (if The Boss had any to raise...)
Down South the road report for the day was simple....DON'T  
and would you believe that some "bloke" decided to row his kayak across Wellington harbour "for fun" while all this was going down almost prompting an emergency call out.
The good news is that The Bossess got back to Wellington in spite of the airport being almost invisible and we will go back to level one tonight. 
It was a fun day....
