Pea straw

It looks like a slightly bizarre art installation, but is, in fact, pea straw waiting to be layered on the Rhododendron Garden.  A think layer of horse poo has already been spread.  We are assured that this preparation will bring down the alkalinity of the soil and is essential to the success of our plan.
