Tour De Wigan

This is Henhurst Lock no.86 on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal near to the Wigan Pier Basin.
Just as MrsB and I were about to walk down the path to the right, round the corner came a man on a bike shouting “group of cyclists!” to us, and “walkers!” to his following group. I swiftly moved onto the bridge to get an image, and was amazed to count 15 cyclists!
Now I know the towpath is for all users, but 15 at once!!
Incidentally, a great win for Mark Cavendish in the Tour De France today!!
