Katharine's crop
Mr hazelh and I are 'looking after' Katharine's allotment while she and Jack are enjoying fine holiday weather in the far north. Our main duty today was to fill two 2-litre ice cream tubs with freshly picked strawberries. We had some with cream for our supper tonight. We will return on Thursday morning to gather another crop, and also pick some rhubarb.
I spent most of the day sitting on the blue sofa in my study as a participant in the first day of a three day research assessment meeting.
Mr hazelh enjoyed the England-Germany football match this evening (for a change).
Exercise today: walking (8949 steps).
