Naughty lambs at Scaranish Hotel, Tiree
We started the day at the exhibition about the building of Skerryvore lighthouse at Hynish. Then it was time for cake for lunch at the Farmhouse Café, followed by a chat with the owner of the Whale Song Tiree craft hut. Our main expedition, however, was to Tràigh Ghrianal for a wonderful afternoon of sunbathing on the beach (again). We stopped off at a chocolate shop on the way. Miraculously no purchases were made.
Back at our bed and breakfast we played a game of Scrabble in two parts. We had to take the break in the middle because Mr hazelh’s toothache was so severe. He really is suffering terribly - so much so that he has booked a dental appointment in Edinburgh on Tuesday next week. This means that we will be losing a day of the section of our holiday on the mainland for a trip home. I’m not looking forward to six hours or so in the car in a single day, but it will be worth it to get rid of the pain.
This evening we cycled up the Scaranish Hotel again. The naughty lambs were so popular on Monday that I have made them the stars of my blip today. My extras are of the beach of the day, and the house near our accommodation that I think that would be a fabulous investment opportunity for my middle sister and her husband - with bonus award-winning highland cow.
Exercise today: cycling 28 miles.
