Outside a local primary school. Gave me a lift; very poignant reflection on our times.

Busy day domestically but made time to sit in our local bookshop with a coffee. Currently reading The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak which is full of absorbing characters. Nice walk in the sunshine, a better than expected day.

Hit another personal milestone - weighed myself this morning and have lost two stone in four months.

The afternoon was dominated by the football, where England beat Germany 2-0. I never enjoy England games; too tense. But the lads did well. Three more wins and we might lift a trophy.

Yeah right. Dream on.
