We have to resort to all sorts of tricks to prevent the hordes of hungry deer in the neighborhood from eating what we've planted.  These "flags" hang on top of the entrance to our veggie garden: the fence is 5feet tall and the deer otherwise jump that with complete ease...

Caught the flags flittering in the descending afternoon sun. Today was a 'feels like' 105F/41C: golf was short-lived and in a cart (vs our usual walking).
