Face to face

Mrs Rex is on holiday and that meant we had to go somewhere other than the back garden so we ended up in New Houptoun garden centre. Among the many statues of woodland nymphs was this mosaic head hidden under a tree and I also noticed they had managed to capture some solar panels (extra). After the obligatory purchase of some plants, home in time to catch the Croatia v Spain match and then France v Switzerland. The best games of the competition by a country mile.

Perhaps a new format for these competitions should be introduced in future. Just play 15 minutes each half then go to penalties. That will save all of us a lot of wasted time and effort and emotion and timewasting and tactics and diving and head injuries and dying swan enactments and crowd shots and inane commentary and pundits and mexican waves and so on and on and on....
